Weekly TCG Market Report

14 Games 103,442 Cards

Executive Summary

Tournament results put Dragapult at 12% of Pokémon Standard decks, Elfnote at 9.6% of Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG decks, and Rocks.D.Xebec at 14% of One Piece decks, while Magic’s Commander field is led by Kraum, Ludevic’s Opus plus Tymna the Weaver at 7.4%. One Piece’s new alternate-art Loki and Saint Shamrock are both listed at $1,999.99, a reminder that premium treatments can arrive with premium expectations, and occasionally a price tag that needs its own chair. The sharpest market moves were Deadly Spinneret, Extended Art, up 1,135% to $22.48, Vronos, Masked Inquisitor, up 559% to $19.78, and Arceus LV.X, up 248% to $399.99, with no competitive catalyst supplied for those moves. Gandalf, White Rider is at $2.80 with stable seller velocity, and its reported rise is tied to increased inclusion in newly popular Commander scry decks, specifically for that promotional printing.

Game-by-Game Breakdown

Magic: The Gathering

News: Magic: The Gathering revealed Marvel: Darkhold Destiny at New York Comic-Con 2026, including four new Commander decks and a new character in an original dimension-hopping story. Wizards also announced a 2027 set release schedule, changes to booster packs, a limited reprinting of the Universes Beyond: Warhammer 40K Commander precons, and the Spike Feeders’ Reality Fracture Brews Championship.

Tournament: Commander has no runaway archetype, with Kraum and Tymna leading at 7.4%, just ahead of Kinnan at 7.1%, while Sol Ring appears in 97.9% of decks, Command Tower in 87.1%, and Lotus Petal in 86.8%. Modern is similarly led by Izzet at 15.6%, followed by Mono-Green at 12.5% and Golgari at 9.4%, a field where the mana base may be more reliable than the metagame’s ability to pick a favorite.

Metrics: Vronos, Masked Inquisitor posted the largest move, climbing 559% to $19.78, while The Deck of Many Things rose 80% to $49.00 and The Chain Veil gained 83% to $13.70. Gandalf, White Rider is at $2.80, with the rise reportedly tied to increased inclusion in newly popular Commander scry decks and tighter availability for that promotional printing, though seller velocity remains stable.

Biggest gainer: Vronos, Masked Inquisitor: up 559%

Pokémon TCG

News: The 2027 Pokémon Louisville Regional Championships are underway with Pokémon VGC, Pokémon TCG, and Pokémon GO events, with official livestreams available. Pokémon also shared a Team Rocket short for World Space Week 2026, new Pokémon Pokopia concept art featuring Mosslax, and a new Pokémon Horizons trailer, while a seven-minute Katy compilation spotlights her sweet side and Bug-type battles. Elsewhere, coverage examines Pokémon TCG: Delta Reign, and a report says the futuristic Rare Mew and Mewtwo cards now sit below their full art counterparts, because apparently even the future has a pecking order.

Tournament: Standard has a clear front-runner in Dragapult, appearing in 12% of tournament decks, while Basic Box and N's Zoroark trail at 6.1% and 5.4%. The format’s most consistent glue is Boss's Orders, included in 92.9% of decks, a remarkably broad vote for telling the opponent exactly where to stand. Expanded is less concentrated, with Slowking, Gardevoir, and Fusion Mew tied at 7.4%.

Metrics: Jirachi Prism Star posted the sharpest move, up 290% to $39.99, while Arceus LV.X rose 248% to $399.99 and Ditto Prism Star climbed 151% to $35.70. Mewtwo LV.X reached $199.99 after an 82% increase, and the tracked movers averaged +72.6%, though Rocket's Zapdos at $2.00 is a reminder that percentages can make pocket change sound like a market event.

Biggest gainer: Jirachi Prism Star: up 290%

One Piece TCG

News: Heroines Battle Vol.2 has been announced. TCGPlayer One Piece also published a guide to beating Blue Rocks, a chronological overview of One Piece Card Game sets, and editions of “The Best Decks in the One Piece Card Game Right Now” dated October 6 and August 31, 2026.

Tournament: Rocks.D.Xebec leads the Standard field at 14%, but Monkey.D.Luffy at 12.3% and Nico Robin at 10.3% keep the format from looking like a one-leader parade. Among individual cards, Yamato appears in 21% of decks, followed by Charlotte Pudding at 20.4% and Borsalino at 19.4%, suggesting widely shared staples across those competing archetypes.

Metrics: Shakuyaku posted the strongest move, rising 141% to $13.13, while Stick-Stickem Meteora and Saint Rosward each climbed 64%, reaching $24.53 and $3.69 respectively. Silvers Rayleigh gained 56% to $26.95 and Charlotte Linlin rose 20% to $12.00, with the tracked movers averaging a 28.8% increase, a busy week for cards that have offered no accompanying plot twist.

Biggest gainer: Shakuyaku (Premium Card Collection -Best Selection Vol. 5-): up 141%

Yu-Gi-Oh!

News: This week’s headlines include the “Official Card Game Times (October 2026) Announcement,” the OCG’s “RARITY COLLECTION -CLIMAX SCENE EDITION-,” and new material for “Lostream” in Rush Duel. The rest of the docket covers “SIMORG” patch notes, “Zenet Archfiend with Light and Darkness Ritual,” “The ‘Ars Magna’ Return Home,” “Headliner of Reigning” instructor decks, and a look at Japan’s original-art manga-style cards, a remarkably crowded table for a week with no need to invent a plot twist.

Tournament: Elfnote is the clearest cross-format story, leading both tournament environments but commanding 21.5% of OCG decks compared with 9.6% in the TCG. The staple packages diverge sharply by region: Maxx "C" appears in 99.3% of OCG decks, while Mulcharmy Fuwalos is the most-played listed card in the TCG at 61.9%, a reminder that “the format” is often two formats wearing the same logo.

Metrics: Destiny HERO, Dystopia posted the largest move, rising 116% to $10.78, while Starlight Road reached $29.81 after an 88% increase. Pot of Greed climbed 67% to $5.00, with Kuriboh at $5.33 after a 78% rise and Protector of the Sanctuary at $4.55 after a 70% rise; 18 unusual price spikes were detected, making this a noisy market signal rather than a tidy narrative.

Biggest gainer: Destiny HERO - Dystopia: up 116%

Final Fantasy TCG

Tournament: Standard has no clear dominant archetype in this snapshot, with Fire/Earth, Earth/Water, and Wind/Water each accounting for 11.1% of reported decks. Lenna is the strongest card-level commonality, appearing in 50% of decks, while Cloud and Leo each reach 40%, suggesting the format is more unified around key cards than around one winning shell.

Metrics: Lightning posted the strongest move, rising 31% to $17.06, while Monk climbed 20% to $7.13. The remaining tracked cards also advanced, led by Rinoa at $4.63, up 14%, with the group averaging an 11.2% increase, a rare moment when even Chaos is apparently on the positive side of the ledger.

Biggest gainer: Lightning: up 31%

Flesh and Blood

News: This week’s coverage includes Flesh and Blood Official’s “World Tour Weekly” and “Deck Dive, Calling: Atlanta.” FaBTCG.gg also published a “World Tour Atlanta Wrap Up,” giving Atlanta its customary second look.

Tournament: The tournament snapshot shows two distinct metagames: Levia, Shadowborn Abomination leads Classic Constructed at 10.8%, while Oscilio, Constella Intelligence is the top Living Legend archetype at 14.2%. The formats nonetheless share the same backbone, with Fyendal's Spring Tunic, Shelter From The Storm, and Sigil Of Solace each appearing in 65% of decks, because apparently even radically different hero pools can agree on a few things.

Metrics: Deadly Spinneret posted the sharpest move, rising 1,135% to $22.48, while Seek Vengeance reached $14.81 after a 178% increase, giving the chart a brief lesson in restraint. HMS Marlin rose 39% to $3.33, Invoke Yendurai // Yendurai gained 28% to $33.13, and Blinding of the Old Ones climbed 27% to $3.54, with the tracked movers averaging a 79.5% increase and 11 unusual price spikes detected.

Biggest gainer: Deadly Spinneret (Extended Art): up 1135%

Grand Archive

Tournament: Standard’s leading archetype was Water Fractals Diao Chan at 9.1%, with Fire Coup Ciel at 7.9% and Wind Crux Spirit Ruler Lorraine at 6.3%. That spread suggests a varied field rather than one deck dictating the format, which is about as close as card games get to a group project with no obvious leader.

Metrics: Atmos Armor Type-Ares was the standout, rising 459% to $29.87, while the tracked movers averaged a 78.4% increase. Cremation Ritual reached $3.08 after a 43% rise, followed by Devoted Bloomweaver at $7.00, up 17%; Wisdom's Reprise rose 9% to $5.32, and Slime Totem edged up 8% to $9.99. A market capable of making one card do nearly all the shouting is not exactly known for moderation.

Biggest gainer: Atmos Armor Type-Ares: up 459%

Sorcery: Contested Realm

News: Sorcery: Contested Realm is now available on Cardmarket, according to the official Sorcery TCG announcement.

Tournament: Constructed’s leading archetypes are packed tightly together, with Earth Geomancer at 9.6%, Air Avatar of Air at 9.2%, and Fire Pathfinder at 8.8%. That suggests a varied field rather than one deck defining the tournament snapshot, though Earth holds the narrowest of leads, the sort of margin that does not exactly require a parade.

Metrics: Chaoswish posted the sharpest rise among the tracked cards, up 29% to $5.80, while Kiss of Judas climbed 8% to $9.03. At the premium end, Archangel Michael Foil reached $565.84 after a 14% increase, and Maiden, Mother, Crone Foil rose 10% to $356.16, with the tracked movers averaging an 11.1% gain.

Biggest gainer: Chaoswish: up 29%

Shadowverse Evolve

Tournament: Abysscraft led the tournament field at 20.6%, narrowly ahead of Swordcraft at 19.3%, while Runecraft followed at 12.5%. That puts the two front-runners within striking distance of each other, rather than revealing a runaway deck, with Runecraft holding a clear but sizable third position.

Metrics: Duramente posted the sharpest move, rising 54% to $6.65, while Disciple of Truth climbed 25% to $3.88 and Vania, Vampire Princess reached $7.25 after a 22% increase. Marwynn, Repose of Despair rose 18% to $7.85, and Ever-Lively Table remains the priciest of the group at $17.33 despite the smallest gain, 11%; across the five cards, the average move was 14.8%, which is at least enough activity to keep the spreadsheet awake.

Biggest gainer: Duramente (SL): up 54%

Riftbound

News: On October 9, Riot published Radiance errata updates, core rules patch notes, and a tournament rules changelog, with parallel coverage of those rules changes from Riftbound.gg. The week’s other headlines cover how to get the Riftbound x Worlds 2026 Bundle and how to build Kennen in the post-ban metagame, though the headlines do not name the affected ban.

Tournament: Master Yi, Wuju Bladesman leads the Constructed field at 8.8%, but Irelia, Blade Dancer at 7.5% and Kennen, Heart of the Tempest at 7.3% keep the top of the metagame from looking like a one-deck monarchy. The more universal signal is in the runes and interaction, with Chaos Rune in 41.7% of decks, Calm Rune in 38.6%, and Defy in 37.8%, a reminder that even Riftbound’s champions still need paperwork.

Metrics: Jax, Grandmaster At Arms (Metal) climbed 31% to $1,462.49, the clearest move among the tracked cards and, at that price, a rather less casual purchase than a booster pack. Miss Fortune, Buccaneer reached $259.32 after a 12% rise, while Viktor, Leader moved 10% to $15.00, with the tracked movers averaging a 12.0% increase.

Biggest gainer: Jax, Grandmaster At Arms (Metal) (Prize Wall): up 31%

Disney Lorcana

News: This week’s Lorcana coverage included a buyer’s guide to Hyperia City from TCGPlayer Lorcana. The same outlet also explained everything players need to know about Ink Drops, because apparently even ink now requires a briefing.

Metrics: Jasmine, Ephemeral Princess posted the largest percentage gain, rising 11% to $4.25, while Scar, Finally King climbed 7% to $2.65. The Sword of Shan Yu, an Enchanted card, reached $38.15 after a 6% increase, and the tracked movers averaged a 7.8% rise, a tidy little procession upward with no announced parade behind it.

Biggest gainer: Jasmine - Ephemeral Princess: up 11%

Digimon Card Game

News: TCGPlayer Digimon examined whether assembly is a problem in Digimon.

Tournament: Olympos XII was the clear center of the Standard field, appearing as the top archetype at 31.4%, more than three times the share of Time Strangers at 9.7%. Its engine also shows up in the card figures, with Aegiomon included in 23.8% of decks, while Asuna Shiroki and Elecmon reached 20.8% and 20.5%, respectively, so the format currently has a very recognizable leading cast. The metagame, it seems, has at least agreed on who gets the speaking parts.

Metrics: Dynasmon (X Antibody) posted the largest move at 94%, reaching $4.54, while X Antibody Proto Form rose 67% to $7.25 and Shadow Training climbed 53% to $3.06. Odin's Breath reached $5.16 after a 41% increase, and Heat Training hit $7.00, up 40%, with six unusual price spikes among the tracked cards and an average move of 35.5%, which is a lot of market drama for one paragraph.

Biggest gainer: Dynasmon (X Antibody): up 94%

Star Wars: Unlimited

News: StarWarsUnlimited.gg published a “Homeworlds Product Release Update,” providing an update on the product’s release.

Tournament: Premier is notably fragmented, with Ahsoka Tano | Trust in the Force leading at 13%, followed closely by Director Krennic | Amidst My Achievement at 12.5% and Darth Maul | Sith Revealed at 10.5%, hardly an imperial decree. At the card level, Koska Reeves | Warrior of Mandalore appeared in 48% of decks, while Chimaera | A Frightening Reality reached 45%, giving the format shared staples without a single dominant archetype.

Metrics: Mae, Kill the Dream posted the sharpest move, reaching $14.29 on a 138% rise, while Darth Vader, Any Methods Necessary climbed 64% to $4.84. The other tracked gainers rose 41% to 45%, with Mando's N-1 Starfighter, Faster than a Fathier at $5.66, Crosshair, I've Changed at $3.51, and Logray, Bright Tree Shaman at $3.96, for an average move of +33.4%; eight unusual price spikes were detected, because apparently cardboard also has weather.

Biggest gainer: Mae - Kill the Dream (Hyperspace): up 138%

Gundam Card Game

News: The headlines this week include TCGPlayer Gundam Card Game’s look at “The Most Expensive Gundam Card Game Cards Right Now.” GundamCard.gg also lists LUCCA COMICS & GAMES 2026, because apparently even giant robots have convention plans.

Tournament: Standard’s leading archetype is Shining Gundam (Master Gundam) at 15.9% of decks, ahead of Strike Freedom Gundam (Victory Gundam) at 13.7%, while Nu Gundam follows at 8.4%. The format also shows a clear shared core, with Overflowing Affection in 52.8% of decks and A Show of Resolve in 50.9%, suggesting the metagame has room for several top shells but not unlimited room for individuality.

Metrics: Mutual Attraction posted the sharpest move, up 97% to $3.93, well ahead of the tracked movers’ 26.3% average. The higher-priced cards were steadier: Airframe Seizure reached $11.74 after an 15% rise, while Murasame rose 8% to $31.50, Sarah Zabiarov 7% to $9.97, and Turning Point of History 6% to $8.45.

Biggest gainer: Mutual Attraction (R+): up 97%
